The Odyssey Collective came later.
For decades, I have moved between countries, industries and communities — across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Latin America and Africa — often through work, collaboration and relationships rather than tourism alone.
Over time, I began bringing friends, colleagues and clients into places I had come to know. What stayed with them was rarely just what they saw. It was who they met, what they understood differently and the way they were welcomed into places through relationships that already existed.
Eventually, I understood that this way of traveling — through people, context and trust — was the thing worth building around.
That became The Odyssey Collective.

My work has taken me into boardrooms, organizations and communities around the world — often as the outsider in the room.
As a strategist, facilitator, collaborator and guest, I learned to listen before interpreting. To notice who actually holds the knowledge. To understand that expertise does not always arrive with a title.

My role is not to be the expert on everything. It is to know who is.
I find and work with the people who are — and create the conditions for the right people, ideas and experiences to meet in the right way.
To know which moments belong together. When context can change everything. When the pace should slow. When the plan should change. And when the best thing to do is simply let the moment unfold.
Inside enough to understand what matters. Outside enough to remember what it feels like to encounter it for the first time.

From there, we build the experience outward, designing around purpose rather than a checklist, and giving context as much weight as access.

East Africa is not the whole Odyssey story. It is simply where we are beginning.
